How casual is it?
Just like many European pubs and taverns, we do not have table service (unless you are seated at the bar or require special accommodation) so you can enjoy your night out without interruption at your own pace., choose where you sit, order at the bar and we bring your food! Our bar staff can always help with questions on the food and beverage menu, but we won't sit at your table or annoy you with endless insipid questions about "how everything is tasting".
Can I make a reservation?
-We cannot take reservations, however first come first serve style works well and even on Fri/Sat there is generally no wait. If you have a large party (10 +) or event please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Can I call in a to-go order?
-We do our best to take to-go orders via call-in but when busy it's hard to hear the phone on weekend nights sometimes. At this time we do not participate in any third-party food delivery services. Sorry :(.
Are you kid friendly?
-We are reasonably "kid friendly" for a bar but do suggest coming in the earlier hours for a more likely family-friendly environment. Sorry, but we DO NOT have highchairs, changing tables or a kids menu- BUT are always willing to alter a grilled cheese or burger to the little one's liking.
Are you playing "the game?"
- While we have a good selection of board games, we do not have TV's
Do you have wi-fi?
-Yes, indeed we do have open wi-fi
-Are you pet friendly?
-Yes, but due to state and local law, pets must kept outside on our two big patios. We ask that you please bring only pets that are well-mannered.
A restaurant is a place to eat, but taverns have been social spaces for over 1,000 years.
Our service is basic, because your uninterrupted thought or punchline is more important than us pushing another round of drinks. We strive to select top-quality local, sustainable and family-owned suppliers, and virtually everything down to the ketchup, is made in-house. We think ethical means doing the right thing when no one can see, even when it’s not always profitable. People should locally control their food, water and beer, because when facing a Corporatocracy, our daily choices matter. Thanks for choosing us and welcome aboard!
